Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time a representative will contact you at your hotel to start a tour of the Bogotá savanna until you reach Zipaquirá, whose name means "city of our Father" in the Chibcha language. In pre-Columbian times, saline springs were exploited in this region to produce "loaves of salt", a strong currency used by the Muiscas to trade. Over time, the technology changed and they began to open tunnels to extract more salt. In these ancient underground galleries, the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, 180 meters below the surface, is erected. There is a small chapel of the miners in homage and the Virgin, Our Lady of the Rosary of Guasá (this word means "mine" in Chibcha).
