  • DAY 1. BOGOTÁ

    Reception and transfer from El Dorado International Airport to the chosen hotel. Accommodation.

    DAY 2. BOGOTÁ (Visit to the city with Monserrate and Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá)

    Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, you will meet one of our representatives at the hotel to go to the Historic Center of Bogotá, where a pedestrian route begins through the Plaza de Bolívar and the nearby streets. You will see buildings such as the National Capitol, center of legislative life from the country; The House of the Communards; The House of Nariño, seat of the Presidency of the Republic; and the Church Museum of Santa Clara. They will visit the Gold Museum, where there are some 34,000 pieces of goldsmiths from different pre-Hispanic cultures, and then they will go to the Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar, where the Liberator Simón Bolívar lived. The route continues from the 2,600 meters above sea level where the city is located to 3,152 meters where is the Cerro de Monserrate with its sanctuary where the image of the Lord of Miracles is venerated. From there you can see the best panorama of Bogotá. After the descent, the tour continues through the Sabana de Bogotá to the nearby city of Zipaquirá, where there will be a stop to enjoy a delicious typical lunch. After lunch, we will take you to the Salt Cathedral which was built in an underground salt deposit 180 meters below the surface where "The Miners' Chapel" is located. This site is considered the first wonder of Colombia and an architectural jewel of modernity. Return to Bogotá and the hotel. Accommodation.

    Notes:

    The Museo del Oro and Quinta de Bolívar are closed on Mondays; instead, you will visit the Botero Museum and the Casa de la Moneda.

    The descent to the Salt Cathedral is not recommended for people with mobility restrictions.

    DAY 3. BOGOTÁ - PEREIRA (COFFEE AREA)

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the departure flight to Pereira. (Air ticket not included). Arrival, reception and transfer from Pereira Airport to the chosen hotel in the Coffee Region. Accommodation.

    DAY 4. CAFETERA ZONE (Coffee Process in "Finca del Café")

    Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time you will meet one of our representatives to move to "La Finca del Café" to begin the Coffee Process tour in the company of a local expert who will take you to beautiful special coffee plantations, explaining how the coffee process is from sowing, selective manual harvesting and pulping. After this, we will roast special coffee beans in a wood stove in the kitchen of the typical peasant house where we can have an authentic coffee experience. On route, the will be several stations with viewpoints made in guadua where we will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscape and natural environment of the place while we enjoy a cup of coffee. Finally, we go to see the innovative process of drying the coffee bean, the and then we will go to the main house where we will be dismissed with a delicious coffee lemonade. At the end we will have time to enjoy a delicious typical lunch (included). Transfer to the hotel, rest of the day off and accommodation.

    DAY 5. CAFETERA ZONE (Valle del Cocora and Salento Tour)

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will meet one of our representatives and transfer in a private transport unit to the Cocora Valley appreciating the beautiful landscape of the place. Once you arrive at the Valley, we will have a welcome cocktail (canelazo) and assistance by a specialized eco guide who will make the introduction to the Cocora Natural Reserve. Walking we will move to the cloud forest where we can appreciate the biodiversity of fauna and flora of the place and where we will take the ecological path of the palm of cerá, the highest in the world and the national flagship of Colombia. You will know everything about the history of how the aborigines worshiped this palm. Then we will do the planting of palm seedlings. After that, transfer to the typical town of Salento where we will have a walking tour visiting its colonial streets, craft workshops and the viewpoint of Cocora. At the agreed time, transfer back to the hotel. Rest of the day free and accommodation.

    DAY 6. (CAFETERA AREA) PEREIRA - MEDELLIN

    Breakfast and check out at the Hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the Pereira Airport to take the flight to Medellin. . Arrival at the hotel in Medellin and accommodation.

    DAY 7. MEDELLIN (Panoramic City Tour)

    Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, you will meet one of our representatives at the hotel to begin a panoramic tour through some of the most interesting tourist places in Medellin, such as the Parque de los Pies Descalzos, La Plaza where some sculptures by Colombian master Fernando Botero are located; the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Nutibara hill, at the top of which is the little village paisa, the replica of a typical Antioquia town of the 20th century - with the church and the mayor's office. On this site, which has local food restaurants and craft shops, there is a stop to appreciate a good view of the city. Return to the hotel, rest of the day off and accommodation. Approximate duration: 3 hours

    DAY 8. MEDELLIN (Tour Reserves of Peñon and Guatapé)

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning one of our representatives will contact you at your hotel to start a tour to the east of the department. The route goes through towns such as Marinilla, where we find colonial buildings and a fervent religious tradition; and by the Nuevo Peñol, a municipality that replaced the old Peñol that was flooded to build the Peñol - Guatapé reservoir, at the end of the 1970s. We will visit the Piedra del Peñol, a 220 meter high rock and the municipality of Guatapé, where zócalos and facades of the 20th century stand out in the houses, in addition to the embankment's pier. Return to Medellín and accommodation.

    DAY 9. MEDELLIN

    Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to Rionegro Airport to take the flight to your final destination.

Air tickets are not refundable or transferable to another person or airline. The hotel reservation and transportation is subject to penalties, which will be applicable according to the day in which cancellation is requested: Cancellations made 30 days or more before the date of travel: Not applicable. Cancellations made 16 to 29 days before the date of travel: 50% of the total land package. Cancellations from 1 to 15 days before the date of travel: 100% of the total land package. No show: 100% charge.
